It’s FUH-ridayyyyyyy! I guess, it’s needless to say but…
So ummmmm, about that workout I did on Wednesday….. my behind still hurts!!!! Ahahaha! Those damn lunges, so good and so painful! Has this ever happened to you? I mean, I REALLY underestimated the routine! Today I was really in no shape to complete a 30-minute run yesterday.
I am super happy today is the rest day. My body could definitely use a break. Therefore, the only thing I really have planned is a short morning yoga routine. But then, who would say no to these super adorable bunnies?!
It’s a very short routine, but I can guarantee you that you’ll be full of energy and positivity for the rest of the day, once you complete it.
According to Urban Nirvana, there are 7 benefits to practicing yoga in the morning:
- Yogic breathing stimulates your body and mind. *Save on coffee!*
- Improves your self-esteem. *Who doesn’t like feeling accomplished?!*
- You will be peaceful, all day long! *Imagine! ON FRIDAY!*
- Get a healthy glow. *Just in time for Friday night HA!*
- Speeds up metabolism. *Buh-byeeee extra weight!*
- Helps to build a healthy, consistent workout routine.
- Regulates your sleep rhythm.
Now, that’s how my weekend workout looks like.
Saturday
– Super Spartan Trail Run: On trails (in my case, on the treadmill), run in zone 2 and the low end of zone 3 for 4 miles.
– AB 500
Sunday
Spartan Bike
Warm up for 10 minutes in zone 2.
Repeat 6 times:
– Ride 3 minutes in zone 4.
– Ride 1 minute in zone 2.
Cool down for 10 minutes.
What are your plans for the weekend? How do you recharge your ‘batteries’?
xoxo

I love the yoga bunnies!!
I’m so distracted by that ADORABLE puppy… I never do yoga 😦 I get so easily frustrated with it for some reason.
I wish I had a rest day but unfortunately since my injury I have been doing some sort of exercise or strength training. I know it’s for my own good though and hope to come back stronger than ever.
I often underestimate workouts and end up sore for days. You would think at a certain level of fitness you wouldn’t get quite as sore but I’ve yet to see the day. I’ve got yoga planned for today and I am really looking forward to it, definitely a recharge workout for me.
I’m in love with that bunny yoga infographic! And I’m going to do it right after running this morning!
I love Fridays too and I want to cuddle with the puppy! So so cute. I love rest days, but I try to keep them active rest days so I’m moving my body. Yoga is fantastic or easy walks. As long as I’m outside my batteries seem to recharge quickly. Your weekend workouts sound fun and tough, good luck! xx
Love the bunnies!! This weekend I have yoga on Saturday and a split run on Sunday…I try and recharge by getting into a good book or a show..and of course, getting enough sleep at night! Have a great weekend!
I love re-pinning all your pins! You always find such cute stuff! I love doing yoga in the mornings, it always makes my day. I am excited to relax this weekend and catch up on some chores! After working 12 days straight I just need a few days to catch up. My favorite way to re-charge is finding a good book and sitting on my back deck!
Hi Jenna! You’re so sweet, thank you so much for the compliment! I definitely miss reading a book, my puppy gets jealous even when I’m trying to write a blog post lol! It’s okay, my vacation is coming up, can’t wait! ❤ xoxo
Aaahhh the bunnies are so adorable!! Hope you’re doing well, Olena! I’ve nominated your blog for a Liebster Award 🙂
Hi darling! Thank you so much! I was already nominated for the Liebster Award; however, I will gladly answer your questions this week. ❤ xoxo
